"Combine John Zorn, Frank Zappa and the Boredoms in a blender,
flavor with the spirit of Spike Jones, and you've got The Rancid Yak
Butter Tea Party. This Columbus four-piece with "genre issues"
plows from hardcore punk to metal sludge to light circus tunes every 30
seconds or so, and the changes are so adroit and captivating you hardly
notice the lead guy can't sing for squat. In fact, it almost makes the
effect more likable."
